Hotmail versus Gmail - Which is the Superior Mail Client
When Microsoft attempted to transform Hotmail to fit into modern times, the company struggled a lot in putting plenty of thoughts into re-designing the site from top to bottom. Looks: when Gmail was born it was aesthetic and simple, however with time passing it has become confusing and congested. Gmails latest re-design has filled up the page with too much whitespace leaving little room and space for the message. This makes it difficult for reading the message. The area on the top is completely wasted and utilized as a marketing space for Google products. One need to keep scrolling to get the stuff done as too much space is occupied by things you wouldn't want to check while working on something more important.
The new Outlook looks refreshing and clean. With a single bar on the top of the page along with navigational buttons, the page looks extremely organized and easy to work on. It can help someone who is freshers. Left pane has a search box for contacts and linking emails to folders. Workspace is broader and bigger compared to Gmail. Hotmail's approach to advertising is extremely refreshing.
Privacy is more with the Gmail accounts compared to Outlook. As Google uses algorithms to throw messages and ads to the users compared to Microsoft.
